Dating Photo Tips

You can learn a lot about a person simply by looking at their photo. And since first impressions are lasting, make sure that your photo says exactly what you need it to. Here are a few tips to get you started.

Smiling is always a good thing and when combining it with flirting it’s a winner. Studies have shown that people who flirt directly into the camera will get more attention than those simply smiling. Facial expression is very important and it is one of the first things you notice when looking at any profile photo. So instead of looking away from the camera or focusing on something else in the photo, rather opt for a flirty look directly into the camera. You will quickly notice the difference.

The quality of your photo is also important. Try to take your photo with a digital camera rather than your cellphone or webcam. People will generally prefer high quality photos over lower quality ones and this is especially true for profile photos. Self-shot photos are not as interesting as you might think and this will definitely influence your overall impression with viewers. Put a little extra effort into your profile photos; remember that this is your representation online and you want your first impressions to be lasting ones!

If you have a great body there is no shame in showing it in your photos. Men with great abs can take shirtless photos and women can add a little cleavage to theirs. You are almost guaranteed to get a higher response with this technique. When it comes to your face though, one should think that you need to reveal your face in your profile photo so that viewers can know what you look like.

However, revealing your face in your photo actually doesn’t have any advantages over not showing it, according to recent studies. Although it’s generally a good idea to show your face to your viewers, this one is up to you. Just remember to find out what the person looks like before agreeing to meet them.

What I Did Not Know About Missouri Wines

Every year my wife and I try to plan a fall trip to some place we have not been before.  The choice this year was an RV trip to Branson, Missouri.  Branson is infamous for its broad range of entertainment shows that one can attend and enjoy.  We also like to find out more about a particular state’s wine industry.  For example, I did not know that the area just west of St Louis overlooking the Missouri River is officially recognized as America’s first wine district.  Missouri is also home to over 90 different wineries, comprising an industry that is on the rise. 

In the 1830′s, some of the first settlers to the Missouri River Valley were German immigrants from the Rhine River Valley.  They were looking to settle down and become crop farmers.  They were dismayed to find the plots they staked were not the optimum for accomplishing what they wanted to do.  Instead, the idea of starting vineyards and producing fine wines became the goal.  One such vineyard, Stone Hill Winery, was so successful that it won the first of eight gold medals at the Vienna World Fair in 1870.  The wine industry in Missouri was off and running and building a reputation of producing some of the best wines in the world. 

The hub of the wine industry in the eighteen hundreds became centered on the town of Hermann, Missouri, first settled in 1837.  The city of Hermann takes its name from Hermann the Cherusker, who beat back three Roman legions in the Battle of Teutoburger in 9 AD.  To Germans, he is a symbol of strength.  Historical Hermann is one of those places you visit where “time has seemed to stand still”.  It is full of quaint, red brick buildings, several personalized bed and breakfast inns and numerous other shops and museums.  The town has all the amenities to make a visit there a great experience.  Hermann is the heart of Missouri wine country with its wineries producing nearly 70,000 gallons of wine per year, 1/3 of the state total. 

Aside from the Hermann area, there are four other areas of note worth your time to visit.  In the central part of the state west of Hermann near Fulton, Missouri and accessed by Interstate 70 is the Missouri River wine area.  In the southeastern part of the state near Chaffe and Cape Vardeau is another wine growing area (Route Du Vin) that can be accessed by Interstate 55.  The wine growing area near Springfield (Ozark Mountain) in the southwestern part of the state is accessed using Interstate 44.  Finally, the area just west and adjacent to St Louis is called the Missouri Weinstrasse Tour and is located south of I-70 and north of I-44.  

There is a broad array of events often planned within these wine growing zones.  Wine tasting, winery openings, wine and dinner theatres, wine release parties, and winery anniversary celebrations abound.  I also discovered that most of these events feature “live entertainment” to make the discovery tours even more enjoyable.  As in many other places in the country, the October Fest celebrations always seem to cap off a great wine growing season, making a Missouri October wine tour extra special.  Because of Prohibition in the 1920′s, the Missouri wine industry nearly disappeared, but since the early 1960′s the industry is once again flourishing. 

In 2009, Stone Hill Winery received the Governor’s Cup Award.  That competition featured over 220 different Missouri wines.  Gold medals awarded totaled 42 with 54 Silver and 64 Bronze medals also awarded.  The most important grapes are the Norton, Chancellor Noir, Cayuga, Catawba, Niagara and Concord.  New French hybrids that are also gaining in reputation include Vidal, Seyval, Vigroles and Chardonel. 

Missouri is often affectionately called “The Show Me State”.  My investigation of Missouri’s Wine Country ended up “showing me” that they have carved out a nice niche in wine producing.  Remember, store your wine properly, serve it at the right temperature and enjoy it immensely.

Why the double standard in dating with children for men and women?

I am a single parent of a child of 3 years and 11 years I am 32 years old. When I go to a woman I am in this assumeing that children as well. And most do. The problem is when thay know that I have custody of my children there is a change in the relationship or does not happen. I have stayed away, but when then the reality hits that they like. They are very well cared for and not just my opinion, but almost everything that unites them. I question if there is a reason that women want of a better term, a discrimination against a father who cares. Plus So come and say that you must love children and when you show that you really do not want. Just for additional information, I took my 3 year old by myself, without parents, without the center (I own my business), no mother since she was 6 months, so I think it's clear that I am not seeking advice or help care for him.

These women are particularly selfish. They want to leave their children a short time. One thing is they have to get a babysitter and it is not, but when it's up to you just one. Moreover, it can be given the attention you would if you were a part-time father. In any case I would say I miss attractive because it shows they are not afraid of responsibility. Do not get me wrong, I'll give you a pat on the back for doing something many men and women love sensitive to, but be responsible and have their priorities together is a very interesting feature of learning to jump.

According to a report on busesline.com, the Dalian City government has ordered 150 of the Jiefang hybrid bus. Fifty of them will run in the city during the Summer Davos event, which is the Annual Meeting of New Champions 2009, conducted by the World Economic Forum World 10 to 12 September 2009. In October, another 100 Jiefang hybrid power buses will enter service in the city of Changchun, capital of northeast China Jilin.
